Historical API Doumentation

History of Flowscan:

We started building a block explorer named Flowdiver for Flow in May 2023 to resolve a gap in data availability that had blocked us when building before. At the time there was a block explorer called Flowscan, run by another company that had ceased active development for a while.

We undertook the enormous task of gathering all transactions and events on Flow, which is much more complex than with other blockchains that are not resource oriented. We then sanitised the data and created an API to feed Flowdiver.

We actively developed Flowdiver adding features and refining the experience for the following year. The original Flowscan closed doors and went offline shortly after Flowdiver launched so come Summer 2024 with the approach of Crescendo and the launch of EVM on Flow it was time to rethink our block explorer and design for the addition of rich EVM data. For this we redesigned from scratch and rebranded (with permission) to Flowscan to fit with conventional block explorer naming across the industry.

Find Labs:

Established in 2021, our initial venture was to introduce a native name resolver to the FLOW ecosystem with the Find Name Service. Recognising the need for a marketplace to facilitate transactions across projects and wallets, we developed the .find platform as a unifying hub for FLOW users and projects.

With our extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of Cadence and the FLOW ecosystem, Dapper Labs identified us as the ideal partners to create the NFT standards for FLOW, providing us with a grant to complete the project.

Throughout our journey, we have offered support and expertise to numerous projects and teams in the space, including building the backend systems for One Football's Aera, which successfully minted and packed one million NFTs in under 30 minutes (see Case Study).

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results with speed and agility, working closely with our clients to not only meet but surpass their goals, offering the necessary support and guidance throughout the process.

Team History:

The FINDLABS team is proud to showcase our latest offering with Flowdiver. Our leadership has been proudly engaged within the Web3 space since 2016. Our COO, Luke, developed and hosted one of the first NFT podcasts documenting the NFT space as it unfolded. Our CTO Bjartek is known throughout the Flow community as The Cadence Whisperer, for his craft writing smart contracts on the Flow blockchain. He developed some of the first projects on Flow, starting with the Versus platform and later developing the .find wallet naming services with our CEO Christian_Neo, an entrepreneur, who has built numerous successful businesses and has been focussed Flow for the last 4 years.

Feedback:

As we launch Flowscan, we invite you to be a part of this new chapter. Your feedback and feature requests will play a vital role in shaping the direction and functionality of this project as we continue to build out the feature set over the coming months. Together, we hope to create a resource that meets the needs of the whole community.
